The 2023 LRAN conference, which will be held June 7th-8th at Georgetown University in Washington DC, is now sold out.
This year's LRAN conference is co-hosted by the Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor. The theme of this year’s conference is “What We All Bring - Strategy and Research for Everyone in the Movement." Lindsay Dougherty, Western Region VP of the Teamsters and new head of the Hollywood division, will keynote the conference. Plenary speakers include AFT Secretary-Treasurer Fedrick C. Ingram, author Bill Fletcher, Jr., Venceremos Arkansas director Magaly Licolli, and Javier Morillo of Rutgers University. Trainings will be conducted on private equity, financial research, innovative local policy efforts, and building strategic research and campaign capacity. Workshops will feature efforts to build research and campaign hubs, organizing in the South, digital organizing, and sectoral strategies for agriculture, childcare and the platform economy.
We have a room block at the Washington Hilton (union hotel). The rate is $279 and it includes a $20 food/beverage credit. You can book here, but don't wait as space is limited.
LRAN also announces the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition to be held at the conference.
